The sun is just past high noon (12:30) on 11.22.63, at the 33rd
parallel. The limousine carrying Gov Connally, JFK, and wives, heads
down Elm Street, going a bit southwest, into the sun. The street
curves slightly to the left as this sequence from the Zapruder film
is taken. Zapruder, standing on a pergola in Dealey Plaza, is
filming the limo emerging from beind the Stemmons Freeway sign
to his left.
The limo, moving at about 8 mph (Z frames - 18.2/sec) has numerous
reflective surfaces; glass side windows in the chrome center
partition, crome handles, as well as the mirrors and windshield.
Although shadows of stationary objects are not falling into the
street, it seems as though there is a synchronicity between the
shape of the Stemmons Freeway sign (SFS) and the shadow
that appears on the right upper chest area of Gov Connally (JBC).
It is my thinking that the side window picked up a reflection of the
STS and cast that shadow onto JBC. The angle of incidence of
the STS and the side window looks approximately the same
as that of the side window to the shadow on JBC's chest.
Is this possible? And if it is, what laws apply?
