Re: Old (?) glass type FS-2



I've been designing with Schott glass since the 1970s and I also cannot
remember any glasses designated FS. I believe that fused silica has a
low specific gravity (and would also appear very white) so you may be
able to tell if that's what it is.

Does the glass come with some paperwork or is it etched with the glass
type?

Another possiblilty is to search US patents for apochromatic lenses and
see if anything turns up.
