Re: optical design software

I've been using Zemax EE for years, outputting designs as STEP or IGES
to SolidWorks. The objects export with no problems in either format but
only the IGES form includes a unique file name in the exported objects.
STEP file objects are imported into SolidWorks as Imported object 1, 2
etc. and can easily get confused with, or overwrite other imported
objects.
