Just say communist to Jim Klein and he flip totally out !
That might be possible for an american. Not to a thinking individual,
just to put it in an inpolite way and seen from Scandinavia.
Well, I have also read the problems. They don't seem so easy for pen
and paper and a calculator. But I suppose seidels equations are
supposed to be used.
Optics ain't easy, folks ! and not just as computer-game as it can be
with a powerfull optics program on a modern PC.
Further optics teachers might not be the most lively. In the old days
an optics theorist could be a very lonely person, not communicating.
But nowadays researchers have a broader forum due to internet.
Just my thoughts.
