Where is the dust?

Can someone tell me where the dust may be in my system (tiny digital
camera)? Take a look:

Circular, shadowy spots are not the typical sharp, black spots discussed /
shown in the camera forums. Cleaning the front surface of my lens does not
remove or change the location of the spots. Possible that the dust is on
the back surface of the lens - which is difficult to remove and replace.
Any ideas? Could the dust be between elements of the lens (if it has
separate elements separted by air; which I doubt)? Camera is a Casio EX-S3;
one of the smallest made.
Thanks,
Dave C
