Right, an objective lens and an area sensor (webcam without a lens) are all
he needs to produce an image on his monitor. If in addition he would like to
use the microscope visually, he needs an eyepiece and his webcam needs its
own objective lens to look through the eyepiece and produce the image on his
monitor. Also, he may need to illuminate the field of view with a lamp and
additional optics.
