Hi,
I need to simulate an unusual design with Zemax software.
Let's suppose a lens. I need the light to enter into the lens from the edge
and to get out by the rear surface.
I don't know how to proceed yet, should I use NSC (non sequential component)
or not or either a mix between the two.
What you describe is hard to model. ASAP and FRED come to mind.
The NSS stuff in sequential codes is never as general as the NSS stuff
in non-sequential codes.
I'd guess if it can't be done in ZEMAX or CODE-V, you might need to
rethink the way you would set up the problem, sort of fooling the
sequential trace.
Best of luck,
