Optics as Monumental Art

Also soon in NYC at the Rockfeller Center for a few weeks "Sky Mirror"
(09/17-10/27) but apparently nowhere as big as the Chicago thing.
No images available as yet.
Both by the British sculptor (turned temporarily optician) Anish Kapoor.
Not for your backyard however, the weight of "Cloud Gate" is about 125 tons.
And not for your wallet either, the cost overrun was above $10 million, as
per the New York Times.
Any mention of the above in the optics magazines, freebies or otherwise?
Paris has had its own "Geode" at the "Cite des Sciences" (Parc de la
Villette) for about 25 years:

Perhaps less spectacular (surface not as smoth) but more functional
(planetarium and Imax theater inside).
