Ordinary and simple-minded opticians, yes. Jawohl.
Astute and ingenious opticians, no.
Anyway as explained I did switch to a colloidal solution
which lasts forever.
Milk is more easily available however.
A rotating ground glass does not work as well to get rid of
diffraction artefacts, takes more space, requires a motor, a
mount, a fixture etc.
Been there, done that.
