need help to increase low radiant flux density

HI all,
I am working with a research group In Israel to develop a consumer
medical device for the scalp using far ir. We need to cover the head
and get a radiant flux density of around 1kW/m2 or more. We're only
able to get about half that so far. We're trying to think of new
designs for something to wear on your head. One possibility is a
helmet with many little tips to increase the radiation surface. But
it's kind of clunky and surely not the most elegant solution!
Since I had received very useful input from this group before,I
thought I'd ask again. Any ideas on how to cover the whole head and
increase the radiation surface?
Thanks,
Lori Kaufmann
