I have seen some patents using 'Warm shield' rather than ColdShild for IR
FPA's.
The warm shield is an ellipsoid of revolution and the aperture of the cooled
detector is approximately at its center.
Is there any manufacturer who actually make such fictures ?
TIA

Why would one use a warm shield?

How many do you need, what surface, what surface quality, spec the
sizees, etc.
We could do it using optical electroforming if it was worthwhile. You
might look into Epner ( I forget the whole company name) because they
do similar stuff. We specialize in ultra-smooth surfaces.
