Re: Intuitive Explanation of Phase Conjugation

Back in the Star Wars days at a previous company we had a manager that
told a General he could use trash can lids as mirrors in a high energy
beam realy systems and take out all of the errors with optical phase
conjugation.

The General believed him and we had a lot of engineers well employed
designing systems based upon the truth of the stantement.

Then the wall came down, none of the designs worked for non-zero
fields of view, the manager was promoted and then retired and most of
us changed jobs to companies where only perpetual motions machines
were being designed.
