stereoscopes

I've been looking online for stereoscopes and am somewhat dismayed by
the prices. Typically they run over 20 dollars each and even twice or
three times as much. There are stereoscopic images in an organic chem
book I own and I can view them without much difficulty just by merging
the images as I look at the page. So I don't *need* a stereoscope, I
just think it would be nice to get one if I can get one very cheaply,
one that would be suitable for looking at these pages. If it is easy
and cheap to make my own, I would consider doing so, but I usually
have a lot of trouble making things. I think I would not want to pay
more than 10 dollars for one, no matter how I obtain it.
