Jim,
What a coincidence, I just received my MacBook Pro today and I am in
the process of downloading BootCamp from Apple. Great minds tend to
collide, eh?
Just FYI, you can buy VMWare Fusion for about $60 and run XP from
within the Mac OS X as a Virtual Machine*. Fusion goes one step beyond
"Parallels" in that Fusion will boot a Virtual MAchine in OS X but
will use the file system and Windows installation from the Windows
partition used to boot from when you installed BootCamp and your
Windows OS and apps. This means that only one license is needed for
Windows and any of the Windows apps that need activation like MathCAD,
etc. From what I have read Parallels will create a Windows Virtual
Machine in OS-X but it will be complettely independent of the BootCamp
partition of Windows.
*I have been running Windows 2000 using VMWare Workstation in my Linux
Fedora Core 6 laptop without a glitch. The W2K VM can run Code V or
FRED with the dongle without a problem. OS-X is based in the Debian
Unix fork which is based on BSD I believe.
If you need a beta tester, give me a shout. BTW the CDs I pormised
will be coming soon...

Hi,snip....
I just got my new MACBOOK Pro, installed BOOTCAMP (free down load ) and
installed Windows XP. We are about to get a new iMAC too so that the
business will be all MAC computerized.
I find them to be very cool machines.
