That life can be done in USA with that tremendous military budget.

But elsewhere 'in the real world' it is not so easy. Better to use
your intelligence for something better, - just IMO.

Do not forget about semiconductor manufacturing and inspection equipment,
flat panel display manufacturing and inspection equipment, laboratory
analytical equipment, medical equipment, solar power systems, disk drive
manufacturing equipment, lasers for machining and material processing,
manufacturing process control, astronomical research, physics research, etc.

Only a very tiny fraction of my carreer has been funded even indirectly by
the Pentagon, although I have not avoided military work.
