So how do you think the lines were caused by? bent, broken
fiber bundles or tube inside the lens? Any ideas

Without having the instrument in my hands I wouldn't speculate. My
only useful advice is for you to determine if the artifacts are
produced in the lenses or in the fiber optics. If in the fibers, see
how they may change with different bend orientations.

It doesn't change a bit with any bend orientations... even
rotations of the both ends. If it's in the lens. I can't
determine how it can be in the lens.. when you see
a telescope, hand prints on the objective lens can't
be seen at the eyepiece end.
For now.. it's a total mystery.. maybe some fiber
crosstalks in the middle and exotic effect of some
kind...
