A "photon" is an abstract convenient word to express a full wave
cycle in an electromagnetic oscillation and that can carry a quantum of
action. In other words, photons do not exist literally.
Let us for the merit of trying to give an answer assume that photons do
exist, however no one could say that photons have eyes to see
appearances.
Now for the merit of trying to give an answer, yet, let us assume that
you are a 14 billion years old photon with eyes and all, and that your
age is equal to that of the hypothetical age of the fantastic universe
that was born from a bang that was big for absolutely no credible
reason. Then you should have been born along with the universe and
propagating at "c" from the hypothetical singularity that was never
there unless you swear that you have seen it when you were born. My
guess would be then that you are at the edge of the universe and you
continue your propagation into oblivion and nothingness (no aether
theory) defining the expansion of the universe as you advance.
Since all what I have said above indicate that one fancy after the
other was founded on the fancy before, I see no reason for you to stop
fantasising and asking fancy questions, so be my guest.
