Insisting that the æther would make light speed variant with source
speed is as absurd as insisting that light has an inertial mass variant
with source transitions. However, to break free of these negative
observations, one must break free of the æther somewhat: Change the
æther's diaelectric constants for the former, and absorb light in a
paraelectric (conductor-transmitter) for the latter. Then light
celerates, and reacts.
