Well, Patrick, MOST of my classmates are having severe difficulty as
well. Of course there are always those to whom everything is simple,
but unfortunately, I'm not one of them.
And Paul, is it? Well, as for your suggestion of "reconsidering my
career path", it's just a simple "No!" I've done quite well up until
now. I don't know if you are familiar with the 13-scale, we use here in
denmark? Well, I'm a 9.9 - I'd say it's allright for me to continue the
study I love. I'd recommend that you don't fling out that comment very
often without knowing anything of the situation. You had me all broken
down there for a bit! Not very pedagogical. But not to worry, I'm
staying, despite my inability to solve most problems! I'm better at
learning phenomenologically.
Just one question for you: When you tought the class from this book,
did you go through ALL 370 pages of it in 6 1/2 weeks? Because, frankly
I'm finding it pretty tough to keep up with reading and problems that
take 2-3 hours apiece. And seeking help on the problems is just a means
of trying to catch up.
FrediFizzx: Don't believe any old rating on Amazon. The book is pretty
good, and I've enjoyed reading and learning from it. Although I must
agree, Griffiths' books are usually a good experience too.
