The motion of an electron in a magnetic field is described by the
Lorentz force equation. Is the force dependent upon v because the
motion of the electron effects the motion of the current that
generates B, which in turn effects the motion of the electron? So that
the effect will be proportional to v?
Thanks for any replies.
Sorry, silly ?. Perhaps a better ? would be if the effect of the
motion of the electron on B, causes a reaction in B on the electron
that would cause the electron's motion to dampen?
