The problem with religious relativists is that their misunderstanding
of Scripture is much greater than their misunderstanding of
relativity. What Jesus saw while on "a very high mountain" is what the
devil showed Him--"all the kingdoms of the world, and their glory"
(Matthew 4:8). Simple technology permits humans to display compelling
images in stereographic projection. Why can't a super-being, the one
who has deceived you, do the same?

> that pi is 10/3,

Your arithmetic is incorrect. 1 Kings 7:23 uses the approximation
pi = 3.

> that the moon is self-luminous,

I believe that your imaginings are false. Where does the Bible say
that?

> that the sun, moon, stars and planets orbit the earth,

Where does the Bible mention the planets in orbit? Wandering stars are
alluded to in Jude 1:13 as a symbol of false teachers in the church,
not in orbit.

I couldn't find any references to stars orbiting the earth. Where does
the Bible say that?

The moon does orbit the earth but I don't think that you can prove
from the Bible that that observation is some stunning law of physics.
The word orbit isn't in the Bible. It's true that the Bible refers to
sunup and sundown and the path of the sun and moon through the sky but
ask any relativist about that. They'll agree that there's a coordinate
system where the earth is fixed and the sun and moon revolve around
it.

Have you ever thought that the Bible might be written in ordinary
(sensory) language?

> that the earth is founded on the oceans of the deep,

I recall the Bible having references to the foundations of the earth.
I don't believe that you can prove from the Bible that the foundations
are oceans.

Would you agree that all known civilizations are no older than 10,000
years?

"While it's true that the Biblical view of physics anticipated modern
quantum theory, it doesn't take a Sir Roger Penrose to have confidence
in consciousness and to realize, as a consequence, that quantum
mechanics is incomplete."
