   You ought to be a fiction writer. I was never sexually
abused by anyone.... except possibly a redheaded girlfriend
in Florida who used to take coke and could screw for hours.
   As a kid the only close call I ever had was hitchiking
late at night when I was about 10 years old. I got picked up
by some guy who told me his name was "Benny Ding".
(honest to god!) I knew right away I was in trouble and that
the guy was a potentially dangerous perp.
   He drove me to his "aunt's house" and told me he wanted
me to stay overnight..... naturally I agreed to everything
he said until the car stopped. When I got out, I ran with
all my might back to a late night drugstore I had seen and burst
thru the front door and told the druggist "Benny Ding" was
chasing me. He called the state police and they took me
into protective custody while they checked out "Benny
Ding".
   I wound up sleeping overnight in a jail cell at the state
police barracks (MA), and could hear them questioning some
guy in another cell at the end of the hall..... "ok... tell
us where you got the 10 grand and the gun we found under
the front seat.... and keep your voice down.... we got a
runaway sleeping in a cell and we don't want him to
hear this...". That was in 1952!
