[Hammond]
Well, the problem with Mary Baker Eddy is that she
died before Einstein discovered the theory of General
Relativity in 1915, and before Psychometry was even
discovered (i.e. it was not really discovered until the
invention of the high speed computer in the 1960-1990's).

Having discovered a proven scientific fact... there is
no way I can give up!

gulp.... you got that one right.

[Hammond]
Well... if the Pope actually said that... he is UTTERLY WRONG.
However, that statement seems to be in conflict with his
previous statement. However, having quoted the previous
statement from memory... I have been unable to relocate the
published citation ever since... maybe someone else said it?
Certainly the Pope is correct that "scientifically explaining God"
isn't going to make mankind "physically any closer to God",
however, a scientific proof will, in the long haul, certainly
help to move mankind closer to God.
At any rate... his divine excellency is INCORRECT in his
(alleged) opinion that Science can "neither affirm nor deny
God's existence". In fact:

Science has now clearly discovered an
               axiomatic physics explanation and
               experimentally confirmed proof of the
existence of the God of the Bible.

So... if he did actually make the latter statement... that
statement is utterly incorrect!
While I certainly do not dispute the fact that the Pope
is closer to God than I am.... it is also known that he
is not a scientific expert. Frankly, I feel that
I have some very encouraging news for his divine
exellency the Pope. I only pray to God that I get the
chance to tell him about it.

[Hammond]
I daresay I could have an "intelligent conversation" with
the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, given the chance.
