Ghost sucks at math anyway.
he cant add c plus C.
a flat 20x30 inch plate with 500 psi against it is
300,000 pounds dragging the rim past the truck.
Ghost thinks 300,000 pounds or 150 tons of pull at 30 mph is 60 hp
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Ha ha ha ha

<13132-420839A1-344@storefull-3218.bay.webtv.net>:
A 20 inch pipe 3 miles long has 1000 feet of fall overall. 500 psi 20x30
inch vane 600 square inch ..
300,000 pounds at 25 feet R 7,500,000 foot pounds at 25 rpm
150,000,000/5252
30,000 hp.
This isn't horribly coherent, but I'm assuming a slanted pipe of
differential height 305 m, diameter 50.8 cm, which translates into a
203 m^2 cross-sectional area. If the pipe is full of water, one gets a
pressure at the endpoint of
305 m * 9.805 N / kg * 1000 kg/m^3 = 2990000 Pa = 434 psi.
600 in^2 = .387 m^2. Obviously there's a bulge at the end holding the
turbine. Not a factor in this calculation.
Total amount of water in the pipe is 305 m * 0.203 m^2 * 1000 kg/m^3
= 61.9 metric tonnes = 136,000 pounds.
If d = 1/2 a t^2 and v = at, then t = v/a, d = 1/2 v^2/a, v = sqrt(2d/a)
= sqrt(2 * 305 m / 9.805 m/s/s) = 7.89 m/s. This is the maximum possible
flow rate through the pipe via gravity, neglecting friction.
We get a maximum of 7.89 m/s * .203 m^2 * 1000 kg/m^3 = 1600 kg/s. Power
is 1/2 m v^2 = 1/2 * 1600 * (7.89)^2 = 49.8 kW = 66.8 hp.
Want more power? Get a bigger pipe. Size does matter here. :-)
