I guess that the common trial by fire in GR is to compute the
Christoffel symbols for a non-euclidean metric, then use them to compute
the Riemann tensor.
Thank god for the various skew identities and such in the covariant forms!
After computing the terms, and checking the list twice... I can use a
computer to do these things with a clear conscious!
