Hi there,
I recently signed up to that 'Einstein@home' project; I don't know how many
of you have heard about it. For those who don't know, it's a large volunteer
network of computers analysing data from various gravity wave detectors
worldwide.
Has there been any definitive evidence of gravitational waves thus far? If
not, why are they so difficult to detect? Does it have something to do with
gravity being the weakest of all forces? I'm not questioning the validity of
GR, I would not pretend to know more than the basic ideas of general
relativity...to be completely honest, I'm only really beginning to grasp
some of the mathematics of special relativity (the very bare minimum), which
I'm doing out of school at the moment.
Thank you,
Curt (if I post under 'Rosemary' its because Im using the family computer..)
PS hehe...You may as well throw in a 'Semiclassical Theory of God while
you're at it'
.
