I have yet to see a surveyor putting orange paint
on air molecules so they can reference a point in
space. Indeed, with appropriate breathing apparatus
I belive they could do their work just as well without
the air molecules. ;-)

Indeed they can and then they use light rays and the vacuum :-)
Who said anything about air molecules and orange paint, you need a
