bit be right, in case of a beowulf cluster away from other network
trafic and internet

then yes, you configures your images and nodes once to work on
a specific MPI/PVM calculations etc, but you still need updates,
optimizations of the platforms, programmel etc, then changing the
type of the distributed calculations inveolves again reconfiguration
of the whole cluster
