| Good idea, I'll do that.
|
|

|
| Oh, my. Non-constant C?
|
| C is a positive real constant.
|
| The velocity of light is a vector, with magnitude C. In 1 dimension,
the
| velocity can be +C or -C, but C itself doesn't change.
|
| In your example, C=5. The light ray moved at +5 = +C part of the
time,
| and at -5 = -C part of the time.
|
| If you won't agree to that, then "STOP RIGHT THERE" is good advice,
and
| there's no point in looking at the rest of this.

I do agree to that. I do not agree to the calculation that the light
moves along
the train AND back again in an as yet unspecified distance xi in an as
yet
unspecified time tau. The light takes 16 seconds to travel 32 units one
way and
4 seconds back because the train is moving.

I won't accept that the coordinate 60,0,0 and the time 20 shows the
light
moved at 5 units/second, though.

We could do the same thought experiment with a frisbee.
The time for a frisbee to travel from A to B equals the time it takes
to travel from B to A because the frisbee travels at a constant speed of
5 units
a second. What makes light so special?

You are miffed because I'm blunt enough to tell you relativity is a
religion,
that you are gullible enough to swallow Einstein's silly definition of
time,
and that's an irrational, emotional response. Have another bourbon.

|
| But glancing over it before snipping, I notice one worthwhile quote:
|
| [ snip ]

SNIP!

| Good, at least we know where we stand.

I've always known where we stand. Relativists are irrational
followers of a faith and snip what they have no answer for.
Simple logical reasoning has defeated your argument, you lose,
your response is an emotional one and was predictable.
Put your tail between your legs and run away. I'm still here, fresh
as a daisy and ready for another round.
You are bloodied and beaten and can't get off your stool in the corner,
you've thrown in the towel by snipping and not answering,
and you are not man enough to admit defeat graciously.
If you think that's good, you are weaker character than I first
imagined you to be.
C'mon, put up your dukes, I'll give you another battering.

Androcles, with full bragging rights!
