I have read the paper. I accept
1) That Michaelson Morley and Special Relativity can be viewed as a
consequence of Quantum Electrodynamics. However the electroweak and
Strong Nuclear forces are also invariant.
2) All the GR predictions wrt weak fields are met. The orbit of Mercury
is met, so is the bending of light. The Relativity corrections for GPS
are met.
In fact someone asked whether GR could be simplified for weak fields.
Here we are, in effect.
As far as strong fields (black holes are concerned. I feel that there
is one thing you still have to explain and that is the energy sources
in abnormal galaxies. Look up abnormal galaxies and you will see Hubble
pictures. These show a jet of gas. Now jets of gas are UNIQUELY
associated with spinning black holes.
One thing the paper you cite does not appear to mention is
gravitational waves. Gravitomagnetism can to be sure be postualted
without full GR. Without full GR we get gravity resembling Maxwells
equations and the Graviton as a boson of spin 1 (like the Photon). GR
predicts a spin of 2. With a spin of 2 the gravitational field can be
along the direction of motion whereas with Maxwell it is always at
right angles. I presume you would construct gravitomaxwell but the
paper does not say that expicitly.
Because of the macho nature of NASA and the priority given to manned
space flight it may be some time before we find out for sure. LISA will
find out for us.
Another area of GR represents the theory of the Universe. Inflation
would not be possible without some sort of representation in terms of
GR.
I would be interested to see your comments.
