Speed is a comparitive relationship between two moving objects - this runner
will completed 1km in the same time that it takes for the sand in my egg
timer to run out. Or, in the same time that it takes the long hand on my
clock to move four places. Or, the moisture will evaporate from that flower
in the same time that it takes the earth to rotate around its axisis five
times.
