| WRONG!

| Egg before chicken....
|
| Chicken is merely older version of egg - same DNA.
|
| The egg has different DNA than its parents. In other words, the first
| chicken egg had mother and father that were ALMOST chickens, not
| chickens.....

What is the parent of the amoeba?
http://www.enchantedlearning.com/subjects/protists/amoeba.shtml
"Reproduction: Amoebas reproduce asexually by binary fission. A parent
cell divides (the nucleus also divides in a process called fission) and
produces two smaller copies of itself."
Presumably the first amoeba is still alive today, it is all of them.
Androcles.
