I agree - on both points. The problem now is that Einstein is such an
icon, and common shorthand for "cleverest human ever", that anyone who
does proves him wrong, will immediately be seen to inherit the crown.
This is just too much of a temptation for some people - perhaps all of
us.

The real test for me is how quickly the abusive behaviour starts.

It is not abuse if it's the truth. Icons have a way of veiling people's eyes
to the truth, and neither of you have any concept of "proof".
There is no requirement to debate the second part of Einstein's paper,
the error lies in the first part.
That you remain willfully blind to the error is nobody's fault but your own.

When was the last time you started a discussion thread?

Please start one: clearly state the phenomena observed and your theory
for the causes of said phenomena.

Do not include any reference to Einstein or relativity unless this is
fundamental to your theory.

Do not refer to another website unless it a reputable external
reference (wikipedia will be allowed); Or it contains images, diagrams
or other media that demonstrates your point, but cannot be represented
in the plain text format of a ng.

Do not hurl abuse, this will only alienate people to your ideas.

Put down the stick and pick up a pen.
