Re: Why is the Speed Of Light Constant?

Thanks SCW for the response

But I mean what I said

So what Einstein said was that

Rule 1. light travels through space at a velocity c
Rule 2. In case rule 1 is wrong assume that time has contracted or
dilated in order to make rule 1 true

Am I right?

G

That's a little unfair on Einstein. He merely took two established
phenomena and found a theory to connect them.

However, the sceptic in me can't help wondering if you're right!
