Can anyone help with the following special relativity problem.

Actually we are all still waiting for your remarks to the answers
you got on your previous problem.
Try to handle one problem at a time.

Dirk, you've demonstrated math skills, but the majority of your
posts
appear to have nothing to do with physics or math.

HINT: If you don't want to waste anyone's time, why not simply post
a
physics/math answer or not post anything at all - but you've never
shown the capacity to be able to do that.

I can't believe you think your remarks posted here are going to
change
my behavior so I'm not certain who they are directed at. If they
are
directed at me then you obviously must be a slower learner than I am
if you expect my behavior to change. If they aren't directed at me
why not be direct and warn other posters that David didn't respond
to
your satisfaction in other posts so don't post anything here until
Dirk gives the okay.

In the previous posts I have to weed through numerous psychological
postings of jibberish to sort through which ones have something to
do
with the problem I'm trying to understand. WHY CONTRIBUTE TO THAT
NON-SENSE? WHAT PURPOSE DOES IT SERVE?
David

First of all, now that Dirk has his hooks into you, he'll do his best
to assure that your questions and/or comments are marginalized in this
group.

Actually, David did his best yesterday to specify his problem
the proper way, just like I asked. Once he did that, everone
(including you) who first misunderstood it, suddenly saw what
he meant. In stead of continuing to work on it - since it was
not completely "solved" - he decided to ignore the remarks
he got, and just opened a new thread with a new "problem".

You see, dirk sees himself as some sort of protector of purity
and truth in science.

You must be kidding. As you very well know, one of the
things I do here, is study human behaviour on open groups
like these. I am a bit interested in trolls (smart ones and
stupid ones), crackpots, idiots, imbeciles and people like
yourself, who have documented self-respect oozing out
from their ears.

He simply regards science as too fragile to
survive the contamination of anyone who does not subscribe to
conventional wisdom, and so in his blind arrogance, he's on a crusade
to protect it.

Yes, kidding alright :-)

IOW, he's an a-hole who, if he was around when relativity was first
coming into its own, would've done everything he could to kill it.

Having said all of that, I must admit that it'd be much more
interesting to contemplate your questions if you could be more precise
about what it is you're trying to understand

His aim is to find out whether *you* understand and make
you work. And of course *you* do neither.

, and that end could also
be well served if you'd give some feedback to the answers you're
given. For instance, do you accept the answers you were given to your
last question about two lasers in the same frame, but each pointed
away from each other? If so, what mysteries, if any did they clarify,
and if not, what mysteries remain?

The mystery how you can live with a blatant dishonesty like
this perhaps?
