Just to note that thse questions [1-3,...] are not symmetrical, not
equivalent.
Eg. In [3], the lenght (1km) is measured by surveyor (light beam)
technique. For [1] to be an equivalent problem, the (1100mi) distance
should be measured by the " traveller beam" technique.
