So how do you explain the mechanism if you don't have a clock? You
shouldn't need one if you say time is not like a force.

What we call time is usually measured by Inertia, the pendulum swings
back and forth by the inertia force in the atoms of the pendulum.+ the
inertia force that is in the atoms of the planet where the clock sets.
Or the inertia force that keeps planets in orbit, But it all goes back
to the timing inside the Atom.
The only thing wrong with this scenario is it goes against the present
philosophy of ''no intelligent design'' in the creation. started by
Einstein.
