Google's counter seems to be broke. I'm getting
"2,830,000 messages" when I click on your author
search.

But if true, you must be a serious rival to Santa
Claus, who travels simultaneously down every
Christian chimney on Xmas Eve.

Noel!

Heh.

I once did the same thing on Google. It took more than 100 hits
before I ran across something that was actually about/by me. And
it was an archived newsgroup post.

Even spelling out my middle name didn't help. (not really
Auldfarb)

I thought about starting a club for David A. Smiths, but I'm not
sure I'd want to belong to a club that would have me for a
member. Ba-dum-dum.

Of the first few hits are mathematicians involved in physics (not
me), professors involved in ozone (at some point, also not me),
and a fellow involved in 3D operating systems. I am interested
in physics, I have worked extensively in ozone
generation/applications, and had similar bright idea for the next
OpSys... to look and act like Halo.

Maybe there is more to the name than simply coincidence?

David A. Smith

The Google Groups counter tots up postings from your posting account,
not your name.

Happy Easter.
