Quite right. But that is generally becoming less and less of a
problem in the relativity free societies in which most of us are
fortunate enough to live. In fact, true freedom requires the
broadest access to education for all citizens. Malcontents who
purport to wish to destroy others' access to education are of two
types. The first type consists of people who actively pose a
serious danger to the freedom of others; this is the type to whom
the quote "eternal vigilance is the price of liberty" applies. The
second type consists of ineffectual whiners, anti-intellectuals,
and brickbat throwers who can only pose a serious threat if others
repeatedly stoop to their level of behavior. The second type can
be most effectively countered by forging ahead and doing exactly
what you, Bill, and millions of others are doing, since education
is very much interconnected with freedom.
Enjoy your educational experiences, and don't take the trolls and
cranks too seriously.
Well said.
Thanks
Bill
