Indeed, and it comes back again to subjectivity vs objectivity.
In Copernicus's day the Earth did not move, it was the centre of
the universe -- because-- we cannot detect it's motion. The objective
view is that the Earth moves around the sun, the subjective view is that
the sun moves around the Earth.
Same thing with light having one speed only -- they continue to mutter
"observer" as though an observer was something special. Their PoV
is subjective.

We know that, it is common sense. The thing is, Einstein managed to "prove"
otherwise. Since his "proof" defies common sense there has to be a simple
flaw in the proof... what is it? I know, but you deny it.
