No, I have not "grasped" that, because it is not really true -- Newton meant something completely different from GR by his phrase "absolute space".


Here is what Newton thought of aether in case you missed it the first
time around - "The fictitious matter which is imagined as filling the whole of space
is of no use for explaining the phenomena of Nature, [...]

So what?


I guess your poor minds positively refuse to believe what you read even
if it was Newton himself who wrote it but then the whole thing amounts
to indoctrination when it reaches that stage.

I dunno what you mean -- Newton is rejecting ether, as does modern physics. But today we have VASTLY better reasons for doing so that Newton had, from a _physics_ standpoint. <shrug>
