1. Why is the speed of light 300E6 m/s? Why isn't it a tenth that
speed? Why isn't it ten times that speed?
It is that value because thats what we measure it to be.
Using our standard measurement procedure, when we measure the speed of
light, it gives 3E8 m/s. Why then give it a different value?
And actually, today, the speed of light is *defined* to be 299792458
m/s and our measurement procedure for distances is based on that
value.
2. Since the speed of light is finite, what is there in a vacuum that
limits its speed?
Many theories tackle that.
And, does light truly travel in vacuum? There is 'light' there, where
it travels...?
