Hi Bill Hobba, Ken Tucker, Tom Roberts, Steve Carlip etc. I'm back. The
place I was posting became too restricting when I was not allowed to
reference a web page where I made calculations. It was a weird way to
moderate so I left. I'm glad to see you all posting here still, even
you too Tom Roberts. I never really had anything against you. I guess
in the past I had a different attitude than I do currently. No hard
feelings, okay?

So! What kind of interesting things are you folks thinking about
lately? Bill? Whatcha up to nowadays?

Best wishes and its real good to be back

Hi Pete, hope you'll stay awhile.
Lately a few of us have been considering forming
a new moderated group to encourage originality
and speculation that is discouraged in sp.research,
which is an educational group.
The steering commitee is designated the Advanced
Communications Research (ARC) eList, send me
an email if you want to join.
It's designed to be a much more vibrant group that's
very much needed.
Best Regards
Ken

In the near future there is a possibility that I will be producing a TV
show on local cable related to science. Perhaps we can connect the two.
We can at least publicize it on the show. It'd be great for audience
feedback and there are several Cambridge/Boston area physicists who
have agree to be on the show, e.g. Dr. John Stachel (BU) and Dr. Owen
Gingerich (Harvard) and Dr. Alan Levine (MIT Center for Space
Research).

There is a lot of potential here. Eventually I may get Alan Guth on the
show. Time will tell.

Best wishes

Pete
