|
| Who said anything about paying?

You did. I thought it "unfair" and immature to extract a "fare" .

| What I mentioned above works quite well in a moderated forum.
| People
| tend not to flame others when they know as fact that their flames will
| be deleted and if they keep doing it they will be asked to leave the
| forum. I've been posting at just such a place for years and it works
| great.

"Now, since I, embarrasingly, find that I am not up to the standards
of the gatekeepers of the moderated group where those I once
communicated with have fled, I find that literally there is nobody
left to talk to." - Edward Green

That's your idea of "works great", is it?
Censorship is what you advocate, yet you complain above of
censorship. Truth is, you want to be the censor without the duties,
so you'd prefer to be the pal of the censor. Flaming is the
inevitable result of disagreement when there is no agreement to
disagree, "moderator" is a euphemism for censor.
For example, John Baez is a "moderator" that will automatically
reject any post of mine because he is the object of my attack
and censorship is his only form of defence.

| Please, call me Pete. :)

No. That would put us on falsely friendly terms, we are litigants.
You want to be pals with Tucker, but that *** (a flame)
accused me of faking the death of my own daughter to draw
attention to myself. If I ever meet Tucker face to face, violence
will result. The guy is a total ***.

| Who is Draper?

Another crackpot with an attitude.

|
| Nobody is perfect. I've decided years ago to try to ignore people's
| faults and try to focus on their good points. It comes with too much
| time in hospitals fighting very serious illnesses which brought me back
| to my religion, i.e. Christianity. When I failed with certain
| individuals I just blocked them from my view and that made things
| pretty easy. So my new philosophy has been working pretty good for me

| ps - Why not tag along and see how it works out? You can get a feel of
| such a forum by joining www.physicsforums.com. Its a great place to
| post. I merely had a problem with their rule of posting references.
| Seems that they won't allow me to link too a web page where I ground
| out the math to topics which come up often.

I'd have the same problem then, so no. I often refer to web pages,
others as well as my own.
I've not learned how to except things I disagree with and let them go
regardless of how many people I know will end up with the wrong idea later.
This is still my main problem. I feel responsible if I let clear errors slide.
Grind out the math on this:
