You did. I thought it "unfair" and immature to extract a "fare" .I said nor impliedd no such thing. The thought never entered my mind.
And if someone else brought it up I'd argue against it.
"Now, since I, embarrasingly, find that I am not up to the standards
of the gatekeepers of the moderated group where those I once
communicated with have fled, I find that literally there is nobody
left to talk to." - Edward Green
That's your idea of "works great", is it?
That's Edward Green's opinion. Not mine or the people who frequent
moderated forums.
Censorship is what you advocate, yet you complain above of
censorship.
I advocate the construction of a place for people to go who desire to
talk about physics without the constant barage of insults. You'd never
be able to argue against someone's work in a physics journal if you
didn't censor them. By the way, "Censor" is your term, not mine.
Truth is, you want to be the censor without the duties,
so you'd prefer to be the pal of the censor.
Ken and I are already pals.
Flaming is the
inevitable result of disagreement when there is no agreement to
disagree, "moderator" is a euphemism for censor.
For example, John Baez is a "moderator" that will automatically
reject any post of mine because he is the object of my attack
and censorship is his only form of defence.
Hence my desire to see the rules of moderation before I join. If they
do not allow the moderators to be moderated then I wouldn't be
interested in joining.
No. That would put us on falsely friendly terms, we are litigants.
I simply prefer "Pete" than "Brown" which. Then please refer to me as
Pmb. Okay?
You want to be pals with Tucker, ..
We've been pals for several years. You didn't notice?
...but that *** (a flame)
accused me of faking the death of my own daughter to draw
attention to myself. If I ever meet Tucker face to face, violence
will result. The guy is a total ***.
I don't like it when people do these things to other people. However
you're not well known for being a pleasent person in my book. So I'd
have to hear Ken's side before I give this assertion of yours any
merit. In fact had I known that the person I was conversing with before
this post was androcles then I probably would have never posted to you
in the first place. You were quite insulting to me when I was here
before. I'm using Google to post right now. As soon as I figure out how
to plonk you I will.
Anybody know how to do that???

Another crackpot with an attitude.

| Nobody is perfect. I've decided years ago to try to ignore people's

As ye sew, so shall ye reap.
| ps - Why not tag along and see how it works out? You can get a feel of
| such a forum by joining www.physicsforums.com. Its a great place to
| post. I merely had a problem with their rule of posting references.
| Seems that they won't allow me to link too a web page where I ground

I'd have the same problem then, so no. I often refer to web pages,
others as well as my own.
Not all moderated places do that. The new moderated forum allows that.
And its a great place. I'm simply seeking more places to post.
I've not learned how to except things I disagree with and let them go
regardless of how many people I know will end up with the wrong idea later.
This is still my main problem. I feel responsible if I let clear errors slide.
Grind out the math on this:

Sorry but I'm working on several texts right now which all require lots
of grinding.
