discover at what point the majority on this forum is fooling
themselves.

That makes sense, because it wasn't like you had anything intelligent to
say. You sound like an academic. You probably teach and you are used to
students sucking up to you and never challenging you. You want people to
admire you for your intellect, but in reality, you have achieved nothing
remarkable. How about showing us your PhD thesis?

Anyway I think you will find that if you approach the people here
respectfully you can learn a lot from them and you will discover that they
are mostly very friendly and very intelligent indeed.
