Since it was I who wrote that paper then perhaps there may be a
question or two that you could ask me directly?
Pete (aka Pmb)
Yes, are you serious claiming that Einstein distanced himself from the
claim that.....
Not at all. Einstein formulated GR and in it he defined the presense of
a gravitational field according to whether a free particle falls in the
given coordinate system. Einstein never claimed that gravitation and
curvatuure were the same thing - That claim comes from others, not
Einstein. E.g. It was a had a contemorary of Einsteins's (who is quoted
in the paper) who said it was the non-vanishing of the Riemann tensor
(aka 'curvature tensor') which dictates the presence of a gravitational
field. But Einstestein never saw it that way. Doesn't the article make
that clear? If not then please clarify in case I need to make new
changes.
Pete
Hi Pete,
It is great to correspond with the author. Here is my feedback:
-your references on Einstein stop at 1921 (1917 in reality, if we
cosider only published papers), he continued to work on the issue long
after 1921
-what about his writings after 1921, there is no mention about that
-no mention about his taking position against treating gravitattion as
a result of space-time curvature, isn't this the title of your paper?
it is precisely this information that appears to be missing from your
paper (or maybe I overlooked it?)
.
