Modern-day religions!

Modern-day religions!

Religions are important! A man's religion is one
of the most important ways we have to judge a person,
because religion can be freely invented. It is
something we each can choose or modify or ignore to
any degree that we care to do. If you choose to
ignore 'your religion,' you have chosen your religion
of being non-religious. And to know what a person
really is, in terms of his religion, is to really
know that person. With religion being a personal
thing as to what we each personally believe, then our
religion is a very complete guide as to what kind of
a person we are.

(Knowing religions, and knowing what they really
require, are powerful tools in getting to know
people. But to use religion is not easy, because we
each can modify our beliefs in some very amazing
ways. Some of us might claim to be of one religion,
but actually reject portions of it, sometimes even
subconsciously, because we are not really that way.
So we must always be careful with such things as
religion. But it is still an important and a
critical thing that has to be considered.)

In science, or math, or in most studies, one is
not normally free to invent their own way of
believing. And thus, what a person is cannot be
ascertained just because they might be a student in
one of these specific fields. However, there are
times when one's religion becomes determined. If you
have a science where it is possible to believe in
more than one way, then the choice between these
choices can become a religious act.

Today, in physics, we have a most interesting
situation. We have two theories that are identical
in their math (in their results in terms of math
predictions of all their measurements), but from the
outside, they appear to be the exact opposites of
each other. We have SR, where everything is totally
relative, so to speak; and we have LET, where
everything is totally absolute, so to speak. In
actual fact, they are the same theory. But we
believe and we teach that they are opposites of each
other.
Since these two theories do exist, and are seen as
being different, then religion comes to play. We can
make our choices, and make them to be governed by our
own personal choices, and not driven by the science.
SR believes in a 4-D reality, and LET in a 3-D
reality. But there is not one specific test that
exists where there is a scientific validation between
these two situations. No science at all. And yet,
we have people who will choose 4-D, even though it is
a physically impossible concept. They do this for many
reasons. But it cannot be done for a scientific
reason. The reasons they choose 4-D is a religious
act. Let us consider some of these religious acts.

Some people choose SR just because they are told
to accept it. Many believe in SR because that is
what everyone else believes. Most people on this net
fits these classifications.
Some people choose SR specially because it is
impossible to understand, and this gives them an
advantage. By having a belief that is not logical,
then you can 'Lord-it-over' all others who might feel
unable to deal with illogical thoughts.
SR, on the operational level (the math level), is
simpler. Some hold to SR because of its simplicity.
SR has a sense of perfection. It has mystery. It
has no unanswered questions. It is so perfect that
it can be worshiped and idolized.
So we find the SR has won the choice of the
majority. It has become the accepted religion. And
so we now must be careful, since it is now a
religion, that these choices are now an emotional
position, and not a scientific position. And we can
be hurt merely by making the wrong decision.
Before we leave this subject, let us also know why
those who accept SR reject LET. LET is really a
physical theory. And the physical theory is what
controls the math. The physical theory is what
limits the math. It is what governs the math, and
prevents there from being any breaks in symmetry or
jumps in times, etc. But LET, being physical, also
exposes our weaknesses.
LET, being a physical theory, then includes more
than what is in SR (SR includes only the math.) LET
includes our physical reality, and there is much that
we do not yet know about our physical reality.
Therefore, in LET, there are many, many questions
that are not able to be answered. For a physicist,
to have knowledge of what needs to be answered is a
gold mine. This is exactly what we would want to
have, if we have any hope of seeing good progress.
But for a religion, especially a religion of
perfection, to have all these questions is a no no.
It is a destruction of the base to their religion.
They cannot stand the thought that there are
weaknesses in what they believe. They demand their
math perfection, and just cannot allow this opening
up to our view of all these unknowns that would exist
if we adopted a LET point of view.
So now we can begin to see what we face when we
want to have people to accept LET. They do not want
to face such a change. It does make them change
their style of religion, they lose their religious
security. They do not like to have so many
unanswered questions. They do not want to have to be
exposed to so many things to think about and to
ponder. They prefer the simpler (actually, more
ignorant) thinking where only the math needs to be
seen and worked with.
But change must come. LET is the better more
complete approach. And we are going to do this. It
has to be done. Religion must be removed from us,
and we must go back to a more established science, a
science where understanding is more important than
just considering the math measurements.
