A new mathematical source of curvature?

I've been trying to consider

While the relationship to relativity theory may seem distant it may
still be of interest to some here so I thought I would point it out.

It may be that this simplistic construction is already developed but
so far I have not found it. If you know of any such work I would
appreciate a ref.
