Sorry to snip your example about relativistic mass. One of the rules I made
for myself was not to argue about that topic when I started posting again.
That subject is known everywhere to raise tempers. And such discussions
almost always seem to lead to flame wars.

A lot of this information is from my brother, who was
friendly with both you and Mike Varney back when he
posted regularly. I quite frankly do not understand
why my brother thinks Mike was a "good kid"...

back through the archives, Mike seems to have been a
perfect *** who hardly ever contributed anything
positive. But that's just my opinion.

Mine too. When he started to try to use my cancer to flame me off the net I
lost it. Especially when he started flamming me at my cancer discussion
group. What kind of person does that? Especially one who refused to discuss
physics?

I can see that Mike had a lot of support from people that I respect.

I say let us let bygones be bygones.

You were also a jerk back then, from what I can see.

I stick to what physics I know regardless of whether others believe I'm
right. But I was deluded in thinking I could change anyone's mind, even when
I created web pages to work out the proof in detailed math and the correct
physics. Some people have a hard time admitting when they were wrong.
Unfortunately I wasn't smart enough to quit when I saw it comming. Now I am
..... I hope. :)

You've definitely improved a lot(!!!), but the "old
you" still seeps through occasionally.

Unfortunately that is true. But I'm only human.

Maybe you can watch yourself to make sure that the "old you" stays
confined.

I do my best. One of the changes I made was to one of my philosophies and
that means that I live under a certain set of ethics and morals. I get very
upset when I fail.
